Job Description

Reporting to the Parking Maintenance Supervisor, or designate, be responsible for providing services required in municipal parking facilities. The City of Oshawa strives to provide an environment that cultivates and supports the following core values: Authenticity, Courage, and Trust (ACT).

Responsibilities

Duties include administering short term parking requirements including collecting parking fees, discounting and validating tickets, and assisting customers; monitoring the facility using security cameras; informing security staff of any security issues and provide daily updates of current activities in the Parkades; providing administrative support to the Municipal Parking System; preparing bank deposits; and other duties as required.

Requirements

Job Requirements

Demonstrated knowledge and skills of generally accepted procedures normally associated with completion of high school (Grade 12), plus experience in customer relations and computers; or have the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Established skills and experience using PC equipment and related software applications (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite).

Excellent customer service experience and communication skills to deal effectively and courteously with staff and the general public; good interpersonal skills.

Must be bondable, clean and neat in appearance.

Ability to work shift work and alone.

Possess personal qualities of maturity, tact, discretion and have a willing and co-operative attitude.
