The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Supervisor, this role is responsible for enforcing municipal by-laws, including animal control, parking and licensing.  Officers will also provide public education, and awareness programs and services in order to ensure the protection of residents and property.  

 

 

Requirements

The Ideal Candidate

We are seeking a professional with a post-secondary degree/diploma in Law Enforcement, Criminology or a closely related field. Our ideal candidate has a minimum of 2 years’ experience in an enforcement environment interpreting and applying by-laws/regulations, conducting investigations and ensuring regulatory compliance. We are seeking an individual with superior verbal and written communication skills, a demonstrated experience with research, analysis and preparing detailed documentation (e.g. Provincial Applications, forms etc.) and the ability to deal (objectively and calmly) with the public during dispute or conflict situations. 

Satisfactory passing of a vulnerable sector check, and proof of qualifications will be required of any successful candidate(s) for this position.

Salary & Benefits

This position offers a salary range of $69,112.77 - $81,731.34 plus a competitive benefit package.
