Reporting to the Supervisor, Development Inspections this role is responsible for the management of assigned Development and Capital projects (as required) on behalf of the Town. The Project Manager, Development Inspections will coordinate subdivision projects to assure compliance with standards and issue orders of compliance, deficiency notices and stop work orders to developers, engineers and contractors. This position is responsible for overseeing the quality of product/service, cost and schedule elements of assigned projects to ensure efficient project delivery and compliance. You will perform contract inspection of infrastructure, subdivisions, and developments being delivered by developers, contractors and consultants to ensure that the works are being constructed in compliance with various agreements, standards and procedures.
The Project Manager will review the scope of each project with the various stakeholders to ensure that the defined goals, scope of work, and project justification are clear, accurate, and reflect the minimum needs of the Town. In this position, it will be required to monitor and compile project progress and performance reports detailing impacts to schedule, cost, quality, and risk. Authorize the assumption, LC reductions, release of security and holdback at close out of contract and project.
The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking an effective negotiator with excellent communication and conflict resolution skills. The successful candidate will have a post-secondary degree or diploma in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of experience in municipal design and construction. Qualification for professional membership as a P.Eng or CET is required while Project Management Training or Project Management Professional Designation (PMP) is a strong asset. The successful candidate will have computer proficiency in AutoCAD LT and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and Project).
Proof of qualifications and a satisfactory passing of a criminal record check will be required of any successful candidate(s) for this position.
This position offers a salary range of $75,716.21 - $91,475.82 plus a competitive benefit package.
