Reporting directly to the Director, Economic Development, the Economic Development Strategic Marketing Manager, is responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring and reporting on strategic marketing initiatives that are aligned with both long-range economic development plans and the Corporate Communications strategy.
This role also undertakes activities and fosters partnerships that support the development of Niagara as location of choice for investment/trade, enterprise and growth.
Education & Knowledge
- Post-secondary degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration or equivalent related field of study. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Master's degree level in Marketing, Public Relations or Business Administration, or equivalent related field of study is preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in the following a senior marketing position working with traditional and emerging marketing channels.
Responsibilities:
- Develops, implements, monitors and reports on strategic marketing initiatives aligned with the long range economic development plans both internal and external clients.
- Develops and manages relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring divisional strategies are managed and economic development performance expectations are fulfilled.
- Initiates and champions special projects for strategic marketing development, based on current environment, often in partnership with external organizations. Manages all aspects of the development and implementation of economic and business development strategic marketing initiatives, managing project life cycle activities.
