We are looking for a competent and passionate Transportation Demand Management (TDM) Coordinator for a long-term temporary assignment of approximately 12 months with the Development and Infrastructure Department, Transportation Division. The TDM Coordinator will work collaboratively with the Region of Waterloo and Grand River Transit; provide leadership in the development and implementation of strategic TDM programs and initiatives for the City of Cambridge; advocate the benefits of sustainable and active transportation; pursue participation in programs and initiatives; provide professional input to facilitate and incorporate TDM supportive measures in new development areas and, develop and maintain partnerships with local, regional, provincial, federal agencies, employers and private organizations to create and enhance existing transportation demand management and active transportation initiatives. You will provide professional and technical advice with matters related to TDM and will be a staff liaison on a number of committees. Additionally, you will use effective communication and influence skills to promote TDM and sustainable transportation.

Degree or diploma in Transportation Engineering, Planning, Environmental Studies, Civil Engineering, or closely related field.

Registration (or eligibility) with the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT) with designation of Certified Engineering Technologist (CET); and/or Registered Professional Planner designation.

Five years of previously related experience in transportation and transportation demand management concepts.

Knowledge of the theories, concepts, principles, practices, and techniques in the field of TDM.

Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, Adobe Pro, OnPoint, CMIC, Maximo, Google Maps, Internet.

Valid Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle for business purposes. The successful candidate would have to provide proof that a valid driver's license is held upon being hired.
This position is within Grade 11 of the CUPE Local 1882 Salary Schedule and has an hourly wage range of $41.52 to $44.13, based on working 35 hours per week.
