Other duties include checking plumbing plans, reviewing site services, observing tests of plumbing systems and inspections of all types of plumbing installations for conformance with by-laws, regulations, codes and the approved plumbing permit drawings. Provides technical advice, assistance, interpretation and information to the general public, owners, contractors, engineers and architects on matters related to the work.
The successful candidate will have the following:
Successful completion of Grade 12
- Minimum three years’ experience as a Journeyman Plumber or plumbing contractor or an equivalent combination of training and experience
- Certification of Qualification for the Province of B.C. as a plumber or equivalent
- Valid B.C. driver's license
- Successful completion of Level 1 certification examination of Plumbing Officials’ Association of BC
In addition, you will obtain Technical achievement of the Level 1 certificate from the Plumbing Officials’ Association of BC within 30 months from date of hire.
