POSITION SUMMARY:
Working on a 24 hour rotational shift under the supervision of the Senior Clerk/Shift Leader of Information Enquiry Unit, the CPIC Operator is responsible for responding to requests for information via radio, telephone, correspondence, and in person from officers. Other duties include processing messages through CPIC Prime ORI from police agencies across Canada, phone requests from police agencies, correctional centers, and organizations within the Justice Department.
The CPIC Operator is responsible for maintenance of all records entered by this Unit onto CPIC and Niche systems.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 18 years of age
- Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Grade 12 Diploma, GED certificate, or equivalent
- *Applicants educated outside of Canada must have education which is comparable to the minimum qualification in Canada. Applicants submitting foreign credentials require an official academic assessment report issued by a recognized Canadian assessment service** at application
- Demonstrated ability to type effectively at 40 wpm
SALARY
$1,867.78 to $2,290.06 bi-weekly
