The successful candidate should possess the following NFPA certifications; 1001 II, 1021 III, 1041 I, 1002, as well as Emergency Medical Responder certificate. Additional NFPA certifications such as 1031 and 1033 are an asset as well as industry recognized diplomas in the area of Fire Service Leadership. Certification combined with 3 to 5 years progressive leadership and incident command experience, excellent written communication, public relations, and the demonstrated ability to deal effectively with stressful situations is essential.
The ability to communicate in Inuktitut is an asset
Equivalencies that include a combination of education, knowledge, skills and abilities to formal education may be considered.
The annual salary for this position is $100,761.62 plus an annual settlement allowance of $20,907.43 and an excellent benefits package.
