Description
As AI accelerates across every sector, municipalities and their agencies are under increasing pressure to remain efficient, secure, and transparent while serving residents with fewer resources and greater expectations.

This six-part live online series demystifies AI for public sector professionals and gives participants safe, governed, practical tools to begin using immediately. Every session includes real municipal examples, no-code demonstrations, and guided exercises aligned with public-sector responsibilities.

SESSION 1 — AI Foundations: What AI Is & How Municipalities Can Use It Safely

This essential kick-off session explains AI in clear, non-technical terms and shows how to access it safely within municipal environments. We explore responsible use, data privacy, and introduce AI Governance & Policy tailored for local government. Participants leave with a grounded understanding of what AI can—and cannot—do inside a security-first public sector context.

SESSION 2 — Powerful Prompts, GEO Visibility, and Introduction to AI Agents
Learn how to “speak AI” effectively to get accurate results. This session teaches municipal-ready prompting structures and introduces Generative Engine Optimization (GEO)—the new visibility strategy shaping how residents find services in AI search tools. We also explore starter-level AI Agents and how they support all departments corporate wide.

SESSION 3 — AI for Productivity: Email Management, Onboarding, Writing, Summaries & Municipal Chatbots
See how AI can radically reduce administrative load. We explore AI-powered meeting minutes, staff onboarding tools, document summaries, by-laws interpretation support, and simple municipal chatbots for internal and external service delivery. Learn which tasks you can safely streamline and how to ensure accountability and accuracy.

SESSION 4 — Automation & AI Agents for Municipal Workflows
This session dives deeper into no-code automation tools that save hours across departments. From service request triage to HR workflows, communication templates, internal help desks, and automated resident information tools—participants see what a “Municipal AI Agent” looks like and how to design one responsibly.

SESSION 5 — AI Marketing, Public Engagement, Content Creation & Digital Communications

Discover how AI strengthens municipal communications. Participants learn to create accessible public messaging, emergency alerts, resident updates, event promotion, newsletters, and scripts. We also introduce AI Clone Video tools for consistent, branded communications and discuss ethical considerations when using AI-generated visuals.

SESSION 6 — Bringing It All Together: Policy, Governance, and Your AI Municipal Solution

In this capstone session, we revisit governance, security boundaries, and responsible adoption. Participants apply their learning to develop a practical AI Municipal Solution a small, safe AI use case for their own department or team.
