Operationalizing and Integrating Asset Management – Part 1: Integrating AM with Financial Processes
Asset management interacts with other related organizational processes, including budgeting and financial planning. Changes to one process could impact other processes. The Ontario asset management regulation requires that municipalities document a process for how the AM plan is to be considered in the development of the annual budget and any applicable long-term financial plans, as well as a process to ensure AM planning would be aligned with water and wastewater financial plans, including any financial plans prepared under the Safe Drinking Water Act, 2002. This session provides guidance on integrating asset management planning with capital and operating budgets and financial planning.
