Inclusion advocates have been talking about sensory-rich playgrounds for 15 years or more. We now see musical instruments, movement activities, and tactile boards in many playgrounds. But how do we go beyond this to create new interesting and innovative sensory experiences that attract children of all ages and abilities? This online workshop will share stories of how children use Miracle’s new equipment to get proprioceptive inputs as well as auditory and vestibular experiences. We will even touch on taste and smell and how a sensory garden near your playground can add another layer of sensory input.
