It focuses on three core principles for successful leadership in public sector administration: Communication, Strategic Planning and Political Acuity.

The three-day Program introduces participants to key concepts and theories in each of the core areas, supported by research and practical case studies. Individual and small group work will enhance participants’ critical thinking and insights for practical application.

Additional information

"I recently sent another round of staff to PRO’s PRMC program and they all came back with such great comments and energy!  The speakers, the content, the knowledge transfer was all outstanding in their opinions.  This program is a really good tool for those up and coming staff to gain a skill that is typically taught on the job and under fire, which we all know isn’t the best way at times. I really appreciate the leadership role PRO has on our industry and offering this certification is a great example of this." Rob Axiak, Manager of Recreation Services, Parks and Recreation- City of Burlington

“One of PRO’s mandates is to deliver specialized training that our members, and others working in municipal environments, need to succeed today and in the future. Our aim is to build capacity and professionalism in municipal recreation delivery and beyond. We are proud to be partnering with the Schulich Executive Education Centre on this exciting venture.” Bill Allen, President, Parks and Recreation Ontario

“This program will give a competitive edge to young professionals in municipal administration who are seeking to advance their careers. It’s a great investment in the talented people who will be our municipal leaders today and in the future.” Darlene Joslin, Director of Recreation and Culture for the Town of Richmond Hill
