CLI will focus on three main themes:
- Communication: Learn ways to effectively communicate the importance of acting on climate change and build support with your stakeholders.
- Organizational Alignment: Discover best practices and policy tools to use to ensure a climate action lens is incorporated in every decision your community makes over the long term.
- Knowledge sharing: Hear about successful solutions and innovative ideas in reducing GHG emissions and energy use in other communities and learn how to adapt them to your own community.
Featured keynote speakers include:
- Richard Walton, Mayor, District of North Vancouver
- Travis Streb, Western Canada Director, Humphrey Group
- Mike Harcourt, Former Premier of BC and current Chair of QUEST
- Cara Pike, Principal, Social Capital Strategies
- Merran Smith, Executive Director, Clean Energy Canada
Our keynote speakers, peer panels and dialogue sessions will offer something for everyone. Discussion groups for small and large communities ensure that participants gain insights that are relevant to their experiences.
