The City of St. John's wishes to announce the retirement of City Manager, Kevin Breen. Mr. Breen has spent a career of more than 32 years with the City in various roles, including City Manager since 2016. Council would like to thank Mr. Breen for his service to the City and wishes him well in his retirement.

Upon his retirement, Mr. Breen will receive:

• $130,318 representing six months base salary
• $160,391 representing the retirement allowance for his 32 years of service
• $44,108 representing his annual leave balance
• $93,589 representing unused leave as negotiated in Breen's 2016 contract

Derek Coffey will continue in the role of Acting City Manager until Council considers next steps.
