Description
Parkland County has an opportunity for a permanent, full-time Manager, Fleet & Facilities position in the Public Works department.  Reporting to the Director, Public Works, the Manager, Fleet & Facilities is responsible for the overall operation and maintenance of fleet and facilities for Parkland County. This position provides leadership and supervision to direct and indirect reports, prepares, and manages capital and operating budgets, and lifecycle plans for mobile equipment and facilities, reviews and updates vehicle and equipment rates, and oversees the acquisition and disposal of fleet vehicles and equipment following the life cycle plans and budget.

Requirements

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following:

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Business, Operations Management, Facilities Management or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 5-7 (five to seven) years of experience of Fleet and Facilities Maintenance and Operations.
  • Proven experience leading teams; providing coaching, guidance, and conducting performance management activities.
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
  • Computer experience with Word, Excel, Fleet and/or Facility asset management or maintenance management.  
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.  Upon hire, a satisfactory current Driver’s Abstract must be provided.
Salary & Benefits

The total rewards package for this position includes:

A starting annual salary of $109,500 to $136,900 based on a 35-hour work week and option to join the Earned Day Off Program.
