Regular working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm, however, a compressed work week schedule may be considered. Depending on operational needs, there may also be opportunities for scheduled overtime.
- Completion of Grade 12 supplemented by courses in flagging, safety and first aid plus considerable experience in all levels of equipment operation and truck driving in Municipal construction and maintenance work, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Unrestricted Class 3 Driver’s License with Air Endorsement.
- Considerable experience in the operation of heavy, medium and light construction equipment.
- Knowledge in the operation of both diesel and gasoline motors.
- Experience working in a Municipal environment is considered an asset.
- Effective communication skills and ability to establish positive working relationships.
- Ability to safely and effectively perform work outdoors under all weather conditions.
- CUPE Wage Rate: $39.39/hr (2024 rates) + 12% in lieu
