Gordon Head Recreation Centre has an exciting career opportunity as a Building Service Worker to perform maintenance work in the general operation and service maintenance of swimming pools and other associated buildings and equipment in municipal recreation facilities.  The Building Service Worker II – Pool performs various maintenance functions involving building maintenance and repairs, swimming pool heating and filtering equipment, custodial and cleaning tasks.

Requirements

Requirements include Grade 11 or equivalent; Pool Operators I and II Qualification; over three months and up to six months related experience; WHMIS certification valid within 1 year and Occupational First Aid Level I.  Employment is subject to provision of a satisfactory Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector (PIC-VS) check no older than 6 months.  An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

This is shift work including days, afternoons, evenings, and overnights on both weekends and weekdays (37.5 hours per week).

Salary & Benefits
