Brian Guy, Senior Geoscientist, National Practice Leader, Environmental Science, Associated Environmental Consultants
For 21 years, Brian has led the company’s growth and development division and has been involved in a number of environmental impact assessments where climate change analysis has been a key component. Brian currently leads the climate change initiative for Associated Engineering. His areas of technical expertise include assessment and management of hydrologic and water use changes related to population growth; climate change; land development; hydrologic, hydraulic, and sediment transport modelling and water management planning.
John van der Eerden, Vice-President, Water Resource, Associated Engineering Group
John has 29 years’ experience in the water resource sector including hydrology; watershed management; urban drainage; storm water management; flood control; dyking and drainage and river engineering. John has hands-on experience working on water resource projects involving the analysis and development of climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies. He is a senior key member of the company’s Climate Change Task Force and provides training and advice to staff on climate change issues.
Bryan Petzold, Vice-President, Transportation Planning &Traffic Engineering, Associated Engineering Group
Bryan has 39 years’ experience in transportation planning, design, construction and operations projects within private and public transportation sectors across Canada. He has been involved on various TAC standing committees and task forces including the Canadian Guide for Greener RoadsSubcommittee, the Climate Change Task Force, and the Sustainable Transportation Standing Committee. A senior key member of the company’s Climate Change Task Force, Bryan has been instrumental in the development of AE's climate change training material.
Alan Emery, Vice-President, Transportation, Associated Engineering Group
With over 33 years’ experience in the investigation, design, and construction of transportation schemes, Alan has worked on significant provincial highway projects throughout Canada. In his current role, Alan provides corporate support for highway, airport and transit projects and advice on recruiting and business development strategies throughout the company. A senior key member of the company’s climate change training initiative, Alan is involved in setting standards for transportation design and construction services, policies, procedures and processes.
