Description
This webinar provides participants with an introduction to TAC’s recently-published Sustainability Considerations for Bridges Guide (SCBG).  Most authorities recognize that sustainability and its many aspects including safety, durability, and aesthetics, needs to be considered when making decisions, and meeting performance measures sought by stakeholders.  The webinar will present the content and structure of the SCBG, and demonstrate how to help transportation agencies and bridge professionals improve the sustainable benefits of their projects.

Presenter

Clark Gunter, Senior Project Manager, WSP | MMM Group Limited 
With over 21 years’ experience in sustainability and environmental management in the public and private sectors, Clark has led the development of TAC’s Canadian Guide for Greener Roads and the Sustainability Considerations for Bridge Guide.  He has undertaken sustainability assessments, developed sustainability plans for infrastructure projects, and advised transportation agencies on sustainability frameworks. Clark was the first in Canada to be accredited Sustainable Transportation Professional by the Greenroads Foundation and is a Sustainability Professional and Project Verifier with the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure.  He is a member of the Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario, the American Public Transportation Association’s Sustainability Committee, and Vice-Chair of TAC’s Climate Change Task Force.
