The Town of Bracebridge is located in “The Heart of Muskoka” and invites your application for the position of
Director of Planning and Development
This newly created position will report to the Chief Administrative Officer and will strategically plan, direct and manage the activities, operations and staff of the Planning and Development Department including Planning, Economic Development and the Building services.
To succeed with this mandate, the selected candidate will need to have excellent leadership, team building, and interpersonal abilities. As a demonstrated critical and analytical thinker, the new Director will need to have superior communication, problem solving, negotiation, and conflict management skills and be a self-starter with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
A degree in planning, economic development or related discipline, professional accreditation, and extensive progressively responsible and diversified experience in planning (both rural and urban), economic development or building services, preferably in a municipal setting, is required.
