Description
You will be responsible for the maintenance of the City’s Tangible Capital Asset Accounting Program, coordination and monitoring of the capital budget and preparation of financial reports in compliance with PSAB.  The successful candidate must have proficient computerized accounting programs and excel experience, strong organizational, interpersonal and time management skills, ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.

Requirements

The successful candidate will posses a University degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance complemented by 4 years of progressive experience in accounting with an emphasis on cost accounting, maintenance and capital asset recording in the public sector (preferably Municipal). A candidate who has a CPA designation is preferred.

Salary & Benefits

This is a full time union position based on 35 hours per week with an annual salary of $58,268.80 and a competitive benefit and pension package.
